Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions set out the terms upon which BYD UK (“BYD”, “we”, “us”, “our”) shall operate this chance to win (“Promotion”). Participants (“participant”, “you”, “your”) are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon submitting their entry. BYD reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award a prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions. You should save and print a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your future reference.
Eligibility
The Promotion is open to current BYD owners in the United Kingdom who own a BYD vehicle equipped with HPEV DM-i technology and who are aged 18 years or over. The Promotion is not open to employees of BYD, their immediate families, agents, or anyone professionally associated with the Promotion. The Promotion is free to enter. BYD does not accept responsibility for any entries that are not successfully submitted due to technical faults of any kind.
Entry Period
The Promotion runs from Friday 10th April 2026 to Friday 22nd May 2026. Entries received after Friday 22nd May 2026 will not be valid.
How to Enter
To take part, participants must complete and successfully submit the official entry form, providing accurate and complete information. Only one entry per individual is permitted. No bulk, automated or third-party entries will be accepted. Entries must be made using your own personal details. Entries using false information will be disqualified.
Prize
Prizes consist of physical items. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or alternative rewards. Prizes are redeemable only by the named winners and must not be sold or transferred. Winners will be able to collect their prize from their nearest BYD retailer. Any travel or additional costs associated with collecting or using the prize are not included.
Winner Selection
Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries received by the closing date. Winners will be contacted using the details provided at entry. Winners must confirm their details within 48 hours of being contacted. If a winner cannot be reached or does not confirm within this timeframe, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected using the same process. Winners must comply with any additional terms and conditions applicable to the prize.
General Terms
BYD’s decision regarding any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding. BYD reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Promotion where necessary. All personal information provided by participants will be used in accordance with UK data protection legislation and BYD’s privacy policy and will not be shared with third parties except where required for the administration of the Promotion. BYD may publish or make available the surname and county of prize winners. If you object to this information being published, you must notify BYD, although BYD may still be required to provide this information to regulatory authorities on request.
Liability
Insofar as permitted by law, BYD and its agents will not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death arising from participation in the Promotion or use of the prize, except where caused by the negligence of BYD or its employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal proceedings relating to the Promotion must be brought within the courts of England and Wales.
